Dumpsters

Dumpsters are an interesting contradiction.  They are seen as repulsive and dirty, but they are necessary for a sanitary living space.  I was interested in the surroundings of dumpsters in different types of locations.  The locations range from residential townhouses to shopping malls and parking lots and even a school campus.  The different spaces did not have similar spots for each dumpster.  Some places have blended the dumpster to it's immediate surroundings and some have left them to stick out like a sore thumb.  Using a mix of digital and film cameras, I documented each space to present its surroundings while keeping the dumpster the main subject of each image
